I also remember seeing gameplay of a new toribash years ago but have not heard much more since. So I suggest using the Steam version instead, as that does function. As of yet, there is no way around this problem in the Standalone Toribash client, as all the servers are non functional.

Have there been any other mods I can use that add better AI? What about AI trained for specific game modes, ex: bots that can spar in Wushu, Akido, Swordfighting, etc.? I would think since the game has been around for so long and has had an active modding community others must have taken a shot at improving the games single player. This is because of a recent update to the Toribash Servers to allow for the increase of players due to the steam release. Look for the mod 'Running.tbm' ok, now you are ready. I have already found the ukebot and the random scripts that make minor tweaks, However I am really hoping for something better. To run in toribash, you must first press the esc key or escape and go to options and go to mods. It would easily add several hours of playtime for players like me who want to experiment with different play-styles and scenes with a AI opponent.
Tourney1 is an example of this type of rooms. these are the rooms made by staff for players to play in, as of may 2022 execluding Ranked rooms, When the number of players in these type of rooms knockout mode gets activated and the winner gets the prize. I have played this game on and off for the past 8+ years (I did not use steam for the majority of it) and have spent 90% of that time in single player fighting a stiff motionless Uke. multiplayer is a big part of the toribash experience, its what you do after getting bored of freeplay and finish the tutorials.
